Education in values is fundamental, so much so that full training cannot be separated from values. But who decides which values are important? In early childhood education it is up to parents to decide the values on which they will base their children's education. It is they who will choose whether to prioritize moral, ecological, religious or intellectual values.
Educate in values it is to accompany the children in the process of free and personal response about their own identity, and about the horizons and goals they seek for their happiness. Values and identity are, consequently, two inseparable realities. A full training that allows configuring the identity of a growing human being cannot be dissociated or dispense with a serious and well-planned education in values.
The role of parents and more in the stage of early childhood education, is irreplaceable. The values can be grouped:
1- Biological values: food, health, etc. They are basic needs.
2- Intellectual values: knowledge, creativity, reasoning, etc. Originates the cultural world of the child
3- Ecological values: the care, respect, and appreciation of the environment in which life develops.
4- Moral values: respect, tolerance, solidarity, truth, are the pillars of affective relationships with the world and with others.
5- Religious values: They are typical of believers and their orientation in childhood corresponds to the parents.
